I see that Stephen Hester, the RBS chief executive, has now turned down the huge bonus. The pressure upon him to do so has obviously worked.
yes but the only problem is will he stay there now? don't forget it was already failing before he came and he was the saviour of RBS or supposed to be :)
But what about the concept of someone getting paid a salary for doing a job the best way he can? Why does he need a bonus to do what he should be doing anyway?
Yes I agree But all the other bank bosses get a massive bonus and we need to be equal, he will now walk away
